About Reena Kotecha, MBBS, BSc Hons

Dr. Reena Kotecha qualified with a dual degree in Medicine and Neuroscience & Mental from Imperial College London. She spent the early part of her career in the National Health Service, UK, as a hospital doctor. 4 years into her clinical career, the work environment took a toll on Reena's mental health and wellbeing and she took and extended period out of practice. She began studying Ayurvedic medicine and practicing pranayama (yogic breath-work) and mindfulness meditation. With the mission of 'Healthcare starts with Self Care,' Reena set up the 'Mindful Medics' Programme, a program which enables healthcare professionals to come together in a safe setting and discuss their unique challenges whilst also encompassing tools and techniques to improve self care and wellbeing. Reena also delivers talks, workshops and courses across many sectors outside of healthcare. Learn more about Reena and her work on her website.

With thanks for bringing to the forfront aspiration for a better future for healthcare – so important when the negatives from Covid19 sweep the media.

Dear All for the Mindful Health Summit : Tzu Chi Grand Master Cheng Yen has been ensuring and telling us more recently that We Humankind Must Abide in the Power of aspirations and Vows. After love, hate ,passion and animosity are gone, the myriad of sentient beings all have different capabilities and the skillful means as of the teachings to understanding the Path to helping one another will never deviate from the Ultimate Path in Bodhi Cultivation ,also the karmic law of cause and effect. One who is replete and complete with the perfect awakening to Enlightenment is perfect in wisdom and action. I will continue on my volunteer work with Tzu Chi Organization and work closely together with Volunteers of one heart and one purpose ~ to create more blessings for our Nature and Planet Earth in good hopes.

I am so grateful for the constructive way you built these meditations along these five days. I wanna develop a program for medical residents here in my city (intention). I attend some medical residents privately. And it’s so hard to make this evidenced based work, and ironic too, to be listened, accepeted and implemented for the big bosses of medical residence. But there is hope. 🌬

Your energy emanates loving kindness…Whatever each of us chose as our intention as we breathe it in, we will also share the same energy with others when we are with them. Thank you so much!
