About Richie Davidson, PhD

Dr. Richard Davidson is one of the leading pioneers of the growing field of contemplative neuroscience, which articulates a scientific understanding of the mind, emotions and contemplative practices. He has published over 400 articles, numerous chapters and reviews and edited 14 books. He is the author (with Sharon Begley) of The Emotional Life of Your Brain and co-author with Daniel Goleman of Altered Traits published in 2017. Dr. Davidson is a Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he is the founder and director of the Center for Healthy Minds.

Dr. Davidson and his team have developed a well being app, which they are making freely available during the covid-19 pandemic, and which guides individuals in practicing The Four Pillars of Well Being. You can learn more and download the app for free here.

About Reena Kotecha

Dr. Reena Kotecha is a medical physician trained at Imperial College London, UK, where she specialised in neuroscience and mental well-being research.Having spent the early part of her career in the National Health Service (NHS) as a hospital doctor Reena expanded her practice to focus on evidence-based approaches that improve employee health and well-being. She developed the ‘Mindful Medics’ programme which continues to enhance the personal and professional lives of many healthcare professionals.
