I want to grow into aging, mindfully, purposefully. and I feel that developing, an active mindfulness practice may open in me a deepening awareness of my meaningful self – that I AM and that is sufficiently meaningful. Then what? Washing dishes, doing laundry, beng of serviceetc- a lightened spirit within the practice. I appreciate being in the company of others with their similar/diverse goals.

I am a hospital art educator and while mindfulness is an integral part of my life (I currently meditate on the subway ride to work and end by asking that I be a blessing to those that I will know and those that I will not know ) I do find that it often falls off of the radar the minute my work day starts and it does not return until the day is over so I would love to find a way to infuse my work day and interactions with mindfulness. I am also looking forward to learning ways that I can infuse the hospital environment itself with mindfulness . Patients often ask me what I do to be happy/healthy/have a sense of well being and balance and the list of practices that I give always includes meditation. Thank you all for this much needed offering.
