Greetings I’m a physician/psychiatrist/child psychiatrist trained as a psychoanalyst and child psychoanalyst and have been incorporating mindfulness into my clinical and teaching for several years. My meditation practice has grown over the past 4 or 5 years to include a few 7-day retreats, and daily sitting for 30-60 minutes. I’m in the midst of many transitions – leaving a significant teaching/administrative role in a psychiatry residency, cutting back to 3 or 4 days a week of clinical work, pursuing knowledge about Buddhist psychology, mindfulness, and crossroads with psychotherapy. Culture and its impact and defining nature on the mind, the individual, and the collective, and the impact of these things on culture, is of great interest to me. I look forward to actively participating with you all!

I am a cognitive consultant helping people find neuroplastic interventions to improve learning and processing difficulties. I previously ran a cognitive program for adults as well as was the director of a cognitive school where we incorporated mindfulness through the MindUp program, published by Scholastic. I have seen mindfulness practices benefit people with anxiety, depression, attention difficulties, executive function difficulties and just in general most people! I am always interested in hearing some of these amazing people presenting on mindfulness so I can learn more.

As I listened to Frank Ostaseski’s book, “The 5 Invitations,” my heart swelled with love knowing that this man…that the world he is aligned with was My Tribe! I am so excited to learn more about how I can move forward on my Journey to elevate others and share Amber’s message of “hope, heaven, and the miracle of life and death.”

I recently became an End of Life Doula through INELDA’s (International End of Life Doula Association) training and know that the balance between my own loving self care and caring for others is delicate and critical to stay healthy and thrive.

Thank you, everyone, for being “love in action” and making this world a beautiful place to live!

Hi, I am Sasa from Romania, teaching the MBSR Course here and looking to bring mindfulness in Organisations and Education. Things are moving slow, still in the beginning with the mindfulness movement here, but non-the-less, there is a huge need to alleviate suffering here. Ex communist country, where stoicism has put it’s toll on the views and attitudes towards life, needs a fresh approach. Having an engineering background, I appreciate immensely the scientifically argued aspects, and I am looking into making the practices alive so that we can go beyond concept. Grateful for your work, can’t wait to attend this summit!
